Mullin looks ahead to Gillingham test

6 September 2019

Tranmere Rovers forward Paul Mullin says he and his team-mates must take the Sky Bet League One season game-by-game.

Micky Mellon’s men host Gillingham at Prenton Park on Saturday afternoon, 3pm kick-off, as they aim for their second home victory of the 2019/20 campaign.

And Mullin, 24, says taking it each game at a time is important for TRFC.

Mullin said: “We’ve worked hard for the next game and we’ll always take it game by game, never look back and keep working hard.

“It is different to last year, there are a lot more teams in this league who want to play out and dominate the ball, that’s the biggest differences, but also it is a difference in level. We’ve took a few games to adapt but hopefully now we can get to grips and start getting after teams like we did last year.

“We are trying to do as well as we can and will be hoping to finish as high as we can at the end of the season.

“It is going to be a tough game against Gillingham like every game at this level or any level of football, we’ll have to work hard to get anything out of the game but hopefully we can go and get the win.”
