Ollie Banks agrees new one year contract

10 August 2020

Tranmere Rovers are pleased to announce midfielder Ollie Banks has signed a new one year contract at the Club.

The 27-year-old midfielder played an integral role in helping the Club win promotion from Sky Bet League Two in 2019, and scored in the Play-Off semi-final victory against Forest Green Rovers.

Banks has firmly established himself as a fans favourite at Prenton Park, and manager Mike Jackson was over the moon the Club’s number 28 has agreed a new contract.

Midfielder Banks is now ready to kick on and can’t wait to start working with manager Jackson, someone he knows extremely well.

Banks said: “Working with Jacko and his team is a massive reason why I want to stay at Tranmere. As soon as I found out that Jacko was going to be the new gaffer, it made me want to stay even more if I am completely honest.

“Jacko is a very positive coach and I am sure he will take that into being a manager.”

"Obviously with what happened last season and the uncertain times we have had in recent months around the world, it is nice to be back at the Campus.

“It is nearly five months since I was last at the training ground, it is good to see the boys and I can’t wait to get back playing football for Tranmere Rovers."

Banks has now signed up for the 2020/21 season and you can now too with early bird prices still available! To sign up, please CLICK HERE and cheer Jackson, Banks and the rest of the lads on!
