Tranmere Rovers manager Keith Hill is looking for consistency from his squad leading into a busy Christmas and start to 2021.
Rovers will be playing a match every four days on average over the course of this month and next, starting on Saturday when Bradford City make the trip to Prenton Park.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, the manager said: "It was a good win last weekend, well deserved, and it is making sure we have the ambition, the desire to at least match that performance and the physical effort that was put in.
"We want to obviously still improve on certain aspects of the game. Even though we won, we have to still improve as a squad to make sure we make the most of this season.
"We don't want situations where we win a game and then we lose a game, we want consistency. The consistency I am searching for is improvement and improvement comes off the training pitch.
"Our aim is to get the Club promoted back to League One. We have to do that over a period of games and not one game at this moment in time is going to determine the outcome of our season.
"Emotionally we have to be in control of our reactions to losing a game and we showed great control as a group of staff and players in pursuit of getting back on track against Bolton Wanderers.
"The remaining fixtures will help us achieve our aim. We are in a position where we can strike from good practice on the training ground, good attitude and we are hoping to take advantage of these opportunities which are the games."
