Tranmere Rovers midfielder Jack Young says the squad want to put smiles on the supporters faces this Christmas with three points against Bradford City on Boxing Day.
Young returned to the Rovers starting line up last weekend in the 3-0 triumph over Bolton Wanderers, and put in a Man of the Match, sponsored by JTN Tools, display, completing the full 90 minutes in central midfield.
"It was really good to get the win last weekend after back to back losses. The team got back to basics and we performed really well at Bolton Wanderers.
"I am really gaining an understanding of what professional football is all about. I am really enjoying my time at Tranmere Rovers."
Young, on loan from Premier League side Newcastle United, admitted he could not have picked a better place to gain first team experience and is hoping to further add to his professional football CV with a starting position against the Bantams on Saturday.
"I couldn't have asked for a better place to come on loan," admitted Young. "The lads have taken me under their wings and the atmosphere in the changing room is great.
"It has been tough the last month with not playing, but I have been working hard and I got my chance last weekend.
"It is of course a weird year for everyone but our aim is to bring some smiles to our fans faces on Boxing Day. We have already seen this season, anyone can beat anyone in this league.
"We are preparing well for this weekend and to get back to back victories would be perfect. We will try hard to try and get the win. We know if we keep on going the way we have been we will continue to climb the table.
"We are taking it one game at a time and all of our focus is on this weekend's game with Bradford City."
