February's Turn Up and Play proves to be the most popular one yet!

20 February 2020

February half-term’s Turn Up and Play sessions at Prenton Park’s Recreation Centre proved a great success once again!

The well-attended sessions were open to children aged between six and 14, and fun was had by all of those who participated.

Turn Up and Play has gone from strength to strength over the past few months, with many of the SWA2 using their school’s half-term holiday to have a kickabout with their friends at TRFC.

Tranmere Rovers, Wirral’s Family Club, want to see as many of the SWA2 at future Turn Up and Play events as possible.

So, if your child wants to play football with other children their age, TRIC offers mixed, girls only and disability sessions for children of all abilities.

The Turn Up and Play initiative, in association with TRIC, brings the wider Wirral community together through their love of football.

Polly, who was a participant in February half-term’s Turn Up and Play, attending both the mixed and girls only sessions, explaining how much she enjoyed her time.

She said: “We played matches, I scored a lot of goals and made new friends. I have enjoyed meeting new people.

“You can just play and enjoy yourself and score lots of goals."

“It’s good because you get to meet new people and play a few games which is fun.”

Polly summed up Turn up and Play as "Good, Challenging and Brilliant"

Turn Up and Play will be back for the Easter Holidays so please keep an eye out for new dates.
