Tranmere Rovers in the Community hosted an inclusion futsal tournament, as part of their Premier League Primary Stars programme.
The event included a number of local schools from across Wirral and was designed to be inclusive of all pupils.
The aim was to give everyone a chance to get involved, including Kieran from West Kirby Primary School who is partially sighted.
We had to make sure that each kit varied enough in colour to enable him to differentiate between his team and the opposition.
We spoke to Kieran during the tournament and asked him what he was enjoying the most.
He said, “that it’s actually football and we all get to play together and we all have fun together”.
We also spoke about how his team was getting on.
They had won one 4-0 and lost one 4-0, Kieran said he had scored and noted that “it wasn’t that hard”.
It was great getting to talk to Kieran who is a promising interviewee and footballer.
We would like to thank all of the schools and pupils for getting involved and making it a fantastic day, especially for those who are not always able to get involved.
