Tranmere Rovers midfielder Neil Danns feels it is important that the squad take responsibility for their performances following the 4-1 home defeat to Coventry City on New Year’s Day.
Rovers slipped to a loss in front of the SWA at Prenton Park, with Matt Godden’s hat-trick and Jordan Shipley’s strike, either side of Connor Jennings’ consolation for TRFC.
Morgan Ferrier missed a penalty for Rovers in the second half, with the score at 2-1, but Danns says Rovers must react positively, heading into the rest of the season.
Danns said: “We’re obviously very disappointed at this moment in time after a good performance in the game before that.
“We’re disappointed that when we’re 2-1 down and on the front foot, but I think we have got to dust ourselves down.
“Games are coming thick and fast now, and it is important that we go again.
“We work vigorously on all assets of the game. The gaffer and Jacko have us well drilled and we are, but sometimes it’s moments, it’s maybe concentration that training can do, and we have to improve and that’s the honest fact.
“It is just about getting that consistency now, which we need to improve on.
“We don’t point the blame at any particular unit. We all take responsibility and we are past that halfway stage and we really have to tighten up.”
