We have today announced that the Riverhill Hotel and restaurant is closing to external guests on a permanent basis.
Since the Covid crisis hit we have been using the hotel premises to support the local community. It has become a hub for the preparation and delivery of almost 1,000 food parcels for families in financial distress, and we have been preparing cooked meals on a not-for-profit basis to support people at home who may not be in a position to cook for themselves. These activities will continue for so long as they are needed, and the Riverhill will also continue with its take away food service during that time. Thereafter, the hotel premises will be used as player accommodation and student accommodation for some of our international students whilst we consider the longer term options for it.
