The Club are appealing for volunteers to take part in ‘Project Prenton Park’ in order to get the ground in a great condition for when it is safe to watch football inside the stadium again.
Prenton Park is a place of pride for everyone associated with the Club and a place that we all can’t wait to get back to however with no constant maintenance since March due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it is in need of a clean up to be at the standard that we all like it to be.
This is where the SWA come in. The support we have received, especially in recent months, has been overwhelming. Many fans are still coming forward to offer their time and work in any way that they can.
We want you to help us make Prenton Park a fortress. Sticking together through tough times is not a strange concept to the SWA and we’re determined to come out stronger from this.
Talking about Project Prenton Park Chairman, Mark Palios said:
“We've been overwhelmed by the number of requests we've had from supporters wanting to donate their time and energy into the Club over the past few months and we thank everyone who has been in touch.
We believe we've got the best fans in the league and the best pitc. We want the stadium to match and so are grateful to any supporters who can help us get Prenton Park into the best condition possible. When football does start up again, we'll be ready on and off the pitch to make Prenton Park a fortress to be proud of and a great home for Wirral's Family Club”
The project will be completed in the following phases:
Phase 1 - Weeding and cleaning
Phase 2 - Painting and repairing
Phase 3 - Decorating and final touches
