Tranmere Rovers manager Micky Mellon is looking forward to Saturday afternoon’s away fixture at Accrington Stanley and he believes his players will be up for the challenge.
Rovers head across to East Lancashire to contest a Sky Bet League One outing against John Coleman’s Stanley at the Wham Stadium, kick-off 3pm.
Tranmere are currently seven points from safety but have two games in hand in their battle to stay in the third-tier.
And speaking to the local media, Micky gave his thoughts ahead of this weekend’s trip as TRFC return to action.
Mellon said: “We’ll look forward to it, and we are fresh for it and we know that our focus is sharp, and what a big game it is.
“From now until the end of the season, all games are big now. Every training session is massive for us as well as it gives us an opportunity to work together and work on things to make us better.
“Of course, we are in a real time of the season now where every three points is massive, and we are well aware of that, but we’re calm about it and focused.
“We know that we have to sharpen our focus and get everything right and it will give ourselves a chance of moving forward.
“We’ve watched a lot of them, and we always control ourselves to make us ready, as we have to do the things that will make us a threat as well.
“We’ll have no excuses and we’ve had plenty of time, and we will be ready for the game when it comes around.”
