Tranmere Rovers In the Community (TRIC) are now recruiting for their NCS 2020 summer programme, so come and get involved!
Running throughout July and August, spaces are now available on our programmes.
The NCS scheme is a voluntary personal development programme in England and Northern Ireland, which is open for 15-17 year-olds.
NCS is here to help you on your journey. All you need to join the country’s fastest-growing youth movement is to be aged 15-17. Come and prove what you’re capable of achieving with us at Tranmere Rovers.
Running four core themes throughout the duration of the programmes, NCS focuses around adventure, which includes residential challenges, discovery, social action and graduation.
TRIC’s NCS programme helps over 200 teenagers and young adults in the wider Wirral community a year, and had three groups over the 2019 summer holidays.
TRIC’s NCS can help you develop new skills, enhance your CV and make a difference to your local area.
Dates for the 2020 TRFC NCS programme are as follows:
Programme One:
· 13th July- 31st July
Programme Two:
· 27th July- 14th August
Mamudo Dabo, NCS Co-Ordinator at TRIC, said: "It is a highly beneficial programme obviously because when you go on it, you go there not knowing anyone and without communication skills, once you’ve gone on a programme and you’ve learnt to mature yourself in all aspects as well as learning and developing new skills. The major part is giving back to your community and making change."
Cleo Parker, participant on NCS in 2017, added: “It gave me a really positive experience about how you overcome your challenges and it helped me learned new skills which I still use today and it’s a really great thing to have on my CV.
“I’ve become another person for the better, it’s been the biggest thing for me and now I’m happy where I am.”
