Match Preview: Cambridge United

25 September 2020

Tranmere Rovers travel to Cambridge United on Saturday afternoon for a 3:00pm kick-off in gameweek three of the Sky Bet League Two season.

Last time out at the Abbey Stadium, in February 2019, the two sides played out a goalless draw. Rovers will be looking for an immediate response following last weekend's loss at home to Cheltenham Town, whilst the hosts won away at Morecambe.

Match officials

Referee: Sam Purkiss.
Assistant referees: Joseph Stokes and Damith Bandara.
Fourth official: Andy Bennett.

One to watch

We have identified former Irish international Wes Hoolahan as the man to look out for this weekend.

The 38-year-old joined the club earlier this year, and scored his first goal for the club last Saturday. Hoolahan is best known for his time at Norwich City, spending ten years with the Canaries.
