Match Preview: Port Vale

7 September 2020

Tranmere Rovers take on Port Vale in their first EFL Trophy game of the season on Tuesday night at 7pm.

Team news

Morgan Ferrier and Corey Blackett-Taylor both limped off in Saturday’s Carabao Cup game with Harrogate Town and will be a doubt for the trip to Burslem on Tuesday night.

Match officials

Referee: Declan Bourne
Assistant referees: Andrew Dallison and Chris Isherwood
Fourth Official: Scott Tallis

One to watch

Forward Mark Cullen could be a player to keep an eye on for the Rovers defence. The 28 year old joined the Valiants in the summer of 2019 having previously been at Blackpool for four years. He will look to play on the shoulder of the Rovers back line and cause problems with his pace.
