Tranmere Rovers manager Keith Hill gave his pre-match thoughts ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against Salford City at Prenton Park.
Rovers host the Ammies in a 12:30pm kick-off and return to their home ground after two successive away games.
Gary Bowyer’s Salford are the visitors this weekend, and Hill previewed the match with the local media.
Hill said: “It’s exciting, we’re very positive and we’re looking forward to it, and we’ve worked ever so hard to get into this position and we’ve got every reason and belief that we can be successful in the remaining five games.
“We’re very positive. We’re positive on the training ground and we’re positive in our preparations going into matches, before the game, during the game and at half-time and we are very positive leading into the game on Saturday against Salford.
“We remind the players of how good they are and how good they have always been, so we have to remind them how effective they have been and re-find that self-belief.
“We have to play the games in isolation and at this moment in time we are in a play-off place and we have to get back to dealing with the next game and performances, individually and collectively and when things aren’t going for you, you have to work harder to make things right.
“We’ve got five great games to make a difference, and we all want success on a matchday, but you have got to work harder, break the opponent and take the game to the opponent.
“We’ve trained very well with a lot of enthusiasm, and we will select a side that we feel as though can get us three points against Salford.
“The players are accepting the challenges and theirs is no question about that and we’ll respond.
“We have to treat each game and results in isolation, never get too high or too low and I trust the players, they are very positive, and we want to achieve.”
