Tranmere Rovers manager Keith Hill has previewed his side’s Sky Bet League Two fixture away at Bradford City on Tuesday night, 7pm kick-off.
Ahead of the game in West Yorkshire, Hill gave his thoughts on TRFC’S upcoming clash.
Hill said: “It’s going to be a great game, there will be a lot at stake, and we know the enormity of the game and we are looking forward to it.
“It’s going to be a very physical encounter where we will have to be at our most competitive in and out of possession and we have to have an awareness of our opponents and it’s important that we are competitive.
“We have had a good training session on Monday and we’re very optimistic and looking forward to being productive, being very positive and coming out with an important three points.
“We needed to get back to the basics and the real basics are effort, hard work, intensity and honesty and I thought that was back in the squad but now that we have to make sure that we have got the intelligence with the effort and honesty.
“We are in a Play-Off position, and we are still striving to get in the automatics come the final league table, but we have to build on the clean sheet mentality and if we get that one moment that we are searching for to turn a positive draw into a three-point victory and that’s what we are looking for.
“We have to deal with where we are at in this moment in time, and in reality, we are in a play-off place and we’re still challenging, and we are trying to find a solution to make sure that we are in the automatic push come the last game of the season."
Hill is pleased the Jay Spearing is available for selection following his suspension.
He added: “It’s a massive boost. Jay Spearing is well respected within the game and he’s got my 100% support and respect and the players believe in Jay and the SWA do.
“We’re really pleased to integrate him back into the matchday squad.”
