Tranmere Rovers manager Keith Hill shared his thoughts following the 1-0 win against Barrow.
Rovers claimed their second win of the week, and third clean sheet inside seven days, as David Nugent headed home a perfect cross by Liam Feeney.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, the boss said: “There is a lot of excitement left in the season, we played well, especially in the second half after a competitive first period.
“The players fully justified the scoreline. We changed a couple of things ahead of the second half, and we struggled to play through Barrow in the first half. We needed to play round them, and we did just that.
“I was happy with the second half performance; we have got three points on the board and we are still fighting for automatic promotion. We have had a great week with two important wins.
“We have missed out on scoring two or three goals in a game, so it is has been important we have kept clean sheets, and we have done that three games in a row now.
“Bringing David Nugent on was a good substitution and we had to change our shape. He is a proven goal scorer.”
