Tranmere Rovers midfielder Mark Duffy aims to hit the ground running after agreeing a permanent contract at Prenton Park until the end of the calendar year.
The former Sheffield United man has been training with the Club since pre-season and has impressed manager Micky Mellon and his coaching staff to earn a full-time contract at the Club.
Duffy said: "I have been at the Club for a few weeks now training with the lads and I am delighted to have signed a permanent contract. I have watched the team this season and I have participated in training, so hopefully I can hit the ground running.
"I have a lot of experience and I am an attacking player who likes to create goal scoring opportunities. I have achieved promotions during my career, and I know what it takes to get out of divisions, and I see that in our group.
"We need to fine tune some areas but with the other players who have recently joined, our aim is to have a good season.
"The fan base is excellent. I remember the first game of the season vs Walsall, the atmosphere was brilliant and seeing the reaction when Callum McManaman scored the goal, and how much it meant to everybody. Hopefully we will be up there this season.
"There is great competition for places in the team and that is football. You need to have competition because if you haven't, you can get lethargic and just expect to be in the team. We will be pushing each other and fighting for our place in the team.
"If you are in the team, you need to fight hard to keep hold of the jersey and if you are not in the team, you need to make sure you are training well and ready to take the opportunity when it comes. We need quality players in each position as it is a long season, and I believe we have got that."
Duffy is available to sponsor for the 2021/22 season. If you are interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org now.
