Elliott Nevitt signs contract extension until 2023

12 November 2021

Tranmere Rovers are delighted to announce that Elliott Nevitt has signed a contract extension with the Club up until the summer of 2023.

The striker joined the Club in the Summer from Warrington Rylands and has been a regular starter in team so far this season with 16 appearances in all competitions.

Nevitt netted his first professional goal on his first start for the Club with a composed finish inside the box against Oldham Athletic in the Carabao Cup. An instinctive diving header against Salford City in a 2-0 win earned him his first league goal alongside Goal of the Month for September.

After signing his contract extension, Nevitt said: “I’m absolutely made up to be extending my contract. It is something that I’ve always known I wanted to do.

“My time at the Club so far has been amazing and I’m still really happy to be here everyday. I feel like I’ve improved from when I first came in, I’m just hoping to score a few more goals now.

“The fans have been brilliant with me and they’ve made me feel like I’ve been here forever. Now it’s just about hard work and improving as much as I can.

“As this is my first season in the League I am still learning but Tranmere is a great platform to do that, and I’m determined to repay the Club’s faith in me”

Manager Micky Mellon said: “Elliott has worked extremely hard since he arrived at the Club and we felt it was only fair for him to be rewarded with an extended contract.

“We’re always wanting to improve the players we already have at the Club so we’re delighted that Elliott has agreed to stay with us for longer and continue his development with us.”
