Tranmere Rovers midfielder Keiron Morris admitted the team’s disappointment of not holding on for the win against Oldham.
Tranmere conceded late on to a world class strike, which ensured the Latics took home a point in a 2-2 draw.
He said: “We’re disappointed we didn’t win, especially how well we played to concede the goal at the end. It’s a great finish and we couldn’t do anything about it.
“We’ve been on a good run as of late and we won on Tuesday night and it’s disappointing we couldn’t win the match.
“We knew when the score was 2-1 it was keeping hold of the ball, they dropped off and stayed very compact. We knew we had to keep hold of the ball and move it around, and they broke on the counter and scored the equaliser with a world class goal.
“We missed a penalty but we got the equaliser soon after, we knew we would have a good chance of winning the match in the second half and we should have seen the game out. Unfortunately we didn’t do that. We will be ready to go again on Tuesday night.”
