Tranmere Rovers are pleased to announce the signing of striker Emmanuel Dieseruvwe.
The 26-year-old centre forward has put pen to paper on a one-year contract at Prenton Park.
Tranmere fought off interest from a number of EFL clubs for the signature of Dieseruvwe and manager, Micky Mellon, was delighted with his new recruit.
Mellon said: “We are pleased to get a player into the group with the qualities that he has. He is a striker with great physicality, and he will compete at that end of the pitch.
“He will be able to get hold of the ball and allow us to play the type of football we want to play.
“He has the attributes to do really well for us. He is another part of a group of players that we want to put together and he will provide us with an opportunity to be successful this season.
“Of course, we want to bring more in, but Emmanuel is another step in the right direction towards forming the group we will need in order for us to be a force this season.
“We always need that physicality at that end of the pitch at some stage of the season or at some stages of games. So we now have that in the group and it is important. The asks of this division, Emmanuel will answer them when called upon. We want to have different types of players for different problems and situations we will find ourselves in during the season and he certainly ticks the boxes for the attributes he has.”
