Tranmere Rovers are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Liam Feeney on a one year contract.
Feeney, who featured 47 times for Rovers on loan last season from Blackpool, has now agreed a permanent contract at Prenton Park.
Manager Micky Mellon said: “I am really pleased. I haven’t worked with him or Callum MacDonald as of yet but what I have seen from them in the past at Blackpool, I am impressed, and the lads speak very highly of them.
“I am looking forward to getting to know them both better. I am looking forward to seeing the qualities Liam will bring to the team for the upcoming season.
“We know he will make an impact in our matches and will add to what we already have. It is a good that we have another good player in the squad.
“He has not had many opportunities to play in front of the Tranmere fans yet so he will be looking forward to seeing what it is like at Prenton Park when it gets going which is a brilliant place to be.
“We have that to look forward to and I am looking forward to performing like I know he can in a white shirt.”
Feeney added: “I wanted to carry on playing my football at Tranmere Rovers. I enjoyed last season, unfortunately it didn’t finish the way we would have all liked but we got very close.
“This is a great Club to play for, I got a small taste of what it is like to play at Prenton Park in front of the fans, and I can’t wait, and they create a great vibe.
“I wanted to come back to make sure we finish the job off next season and win promotion.
“The manager has had great success at Tranmere for a number of years and I have only heard good things about him. The Club has shown that we are all together, pushing in the right direction and the supporters are delighted he is back in charge.
“Micky’s record speaks for itself and I am excited to work with him.”
Liam Feeney is available to sponsor ahead of the 2021/22 season, with three player sponsorship packages available. If you are interested in sponsoring Feeney, please email email@example.com now.
