Morris agrees new contract at Tranmere

15 June 2021

Tranmere Rovers are pleased to announce Kieron Morris has signed a new one year contract at the Club.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who helped Tranmere win promotion to League One in 2019, played 55 times last season.

Overall, Morris has made 96 appearances for Rovers, and was brought to the Club by Manager Micky Mellon.

Mellon said: “I brought Kieron to the Club and I think he has been quality and proven to be a really good signing for the football club. The fact we have agreed a new contract with Kieron is a really good thing for the Club.

“I have a great relationship with Kieron and I am looking forward to working with him again in order to push the Club forward and become the Tranmere team we all want.

“He is a very technically gifted player, and he is exactly the type of player we want to keep and bring to the Club. He is a great personality, he fits in well with the culture we have and want to have.

“He knows he needs to score more goals and with that we are going to encourage him more to try and do that because he is certainly very capable of doing that. His assists, his work rate, his technical ability and him as an all-round guy, I am delighted he is going to be working with us moving forward.”

Morris added: “I am over the moon the contract has been agreed and I am looking forward to next season. I have worked with Micky before and he knows how to get the best out of me and as soon as he phoned me and talked through his plans for the Club, I knew this is where I wanted to be.

“I am looking forward to playing back at Prenton Park next season in front of the SWA with the target to go one better than last season and win promotion.”

Kieron is available to sponsor now for the 2021/22 season with three different types of player sponsorship packages available. For further information, please email
