Khan faces his former club this weekend when Keith Hill’s men host the Nottinghamshire outfit in Sky Bet League Two.
Nigel Clough’s Stags will provide another challenge for Rovers, and Khan is focusing on the next game in front of them.
Khan said: “We’re taking it each game as it comes really, and the recovery side is massive as we’ve been playing Saturday-Tuesday for a while now, and we’re doing all what we need to do in terms of the recovery at the club, there is a lot of detail behind it, and we’ve been grinding out the games and we’ll get the results.
“We’re in the position now where everybody knows their roles and responsibilities in the team. With Saturday-Tuesday games there’s not a lot of work on the training ground, it’s mainly fine tuning the tactical side, so set pieces, shape and things like that, so everybody knows what they need to do, it’s just little tweaks here and there.
“We’ve got leaders in abundance in our team, and we have to focus on each game as it comes, we know it will be tight and we have to put the performances in and the results will come, and everything else will fall into place.
“We can’t get too excited and ahead of ourselves, so we have to focus.
“I’m focused on the job at hand, and it’s focusing on what the team needs to be doing to get the result on Saturday.”
Khan is enjoying his role at right-back, and he says that he has been learning from defensive partner Peter Clarke.
He added: “I changed to a right-back under Keith Hill and I’m really enjoying it, and the way that the manager wants me to play, he wants me to get forward, but the defensive side, playing next to Clarkey and all of wealth of experience, I’ve been learning a lot from different players.”
