Tranmere Rovers are back on the road this weekend, making the trip to Brunton Park to play Carlisle United in Sky Bet League Two.
Micky Mellon’s side were winners last Friday night, with Josh Hawkes and Peter Clarke on the scoresheet in a 2-0 win over Colchester United. Rovers go into the trip to Cumbria having only conceded once in four league games.

In his Thursday press conference, Micky Mellon confirmed a clean bill of health within his squad with the exception of Scott Davies.
One to Watch
Jon Mellish
Born in South Shields, Jon Mellish began his footballing journey at Gateshead, and made his debut for the club during the 2016/17 season.
He spent a brief time on loan at non-league side Newcastle Benfield, before returning to the Tynesiders’ first-team.
Mellish then made the move into the Football League, signing for Carlisle United. During his time with the club, he has played in both defence and in midfield.
In 11 League Two games so far this season, the 24-year-old has scored two goals.
Caretaker Manager
Gavin Skelton
After the sacking of Chris Beech earlier this week, Gavin Skelton will be taking temporary charge of Carlisle.
As a player, Skelton played for a number of clubs, including Carlisle, Workington, Gretna, Kilmarnock, and Hamilton, amongst others. Eventually going into coaching.
In a coaching capacity, Skelton spent time as player-manager at Workington and Queen of the South, and later had a brief spell at the former as manager.
The 40-year-old joined Carlisle as assistant manager in June 2019, and has worked as caretaker for the club briefly in the same year.
