Team news

Calum MacDonald will be available again following his one match suspension. As of Monday morning, there are no other absentees to report.

One to watch

Matty Lund

The experienced midfielder has found goalscoring form of late for his new club with two goals in the last four games for the Ammies.

Starting his career at Stoke City, he gained experience at several clubs on loan before permanently joining Rochdale in 2013. He’d go on to play for Dale for the next four years, racking up 112 appearances.

Lund then has shorter stints at Burton and Scunthorpe before returning to Scotland for a second stint. An impressive 12 goals from midfield in just one season caught the eye of Salford City.

He joined the Ammies this summer and will be looking to continue his goalscoring form from last season from midfield

The Manager

Gary Bowyer

Manchester born Bowyer began his coaching career working part time at Ilkeston before taking up a role as Under 17s coach at Derby County where he spent six years.

He then moved on to Blackburn Rovers where he would work his way through the ranks at Ewood Park. He spent four years as Under 18s coach before becoming their reserve team manager in 2008. After the dismissal of Henning Berg, Bowyer was put in caretaker charge and eventually went on to become the club’s permanent manager.

In 2016, Bowyer gained his first promotion as a manager after helping guide Blackpool back to League One at the first time of asking. After three years with the Tangerines, Bradford City came calling for his services.

His stay at Valley Parade would be short lived and was dismissed a year after being appointed.

Now at Salford City, Bowyer will be aiming to get his second promotion on his CV and take The Ammies to League One.
