Centre-back Tom Davies believes Tranmere Rovers are starting to build momentum as they prepare for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against Crawley Town.
Micky Mellon’s men take on John Yems’ Reds in front of the SWA searching for a fourth straight home victory at Prenton Park in all competitions.
And Davies, 29, hopes Rovers’ positive form can continue.
Davies said: “We are starting to build momentum now and it’s something that we need to keep doing and kick-on and hopefully pick up more results.
“We’ve played well in some games and not got what we have deserved and in other games, picked up points where maybe we were under the cosh a bit, but now you are starting to see the fruits of our labour on the training pitch.
“We have got talent and you don’t play for Tranmere unless you are a good player, and the fans can start to see that on a weekend that we are pulling together and starting to put in performances.”
Davies is enjoying his start to life at Rovers having signed in June on a free-transfer after leaving Bristol Rovers, which presented an opportunity for the Warrington-born defender to return to the North West.
He added: “The first day I came in, all of the lads were welcoming, we’ve got a big turnover of players and I think I can speak for all of the new lads and say we’ve all bedded in well.
“It’s a nice place to come into work every day and see everyone in good spirits and we’re starting to see the results on the pitch.
“I’ve been all around the country and it’s nice get back towards home and settled, which has made it easier by the lads and the staff, the gaffer, Parky and Dawesy all talk to you and see how you are getting on and it’s a nice place to come.”
