Vote Peter Clarke - North West Football Awards

27 September 2021

Tranmere Rovers defender Peter Clarke has been nominated for the North West Football Awards League Two Player of the Season for the 2020/21 campaign.

The 39-year-old had an incredible season for Rovers, playing every minute in League Two, as he helped the Club reach the Play-Offs and the Papa John’s Trophy final at Wembley.

Clarke made a grand total of 54 appearances, netting five goals, and he has already proven to be an important figure this season for Micky Mellon’s side, and has taken the captain’s armband in the absence of Club skipper Scott Davies, who is currently injured.

Speaking about his nomination, he said: “It is always brilliant to be nominated for any award. It is a personal accolade, and it would be obviously fantastic if I can win but to even be nominated, it is not down to me, it is down to my teammates and I can’t thank them enough.

“I am very grateful to have even been nominated.”
