Rovers winger Callum McManaman believed that Monday's game suited his playing style as he helped the SWA on their way to a much-needed victory against Exeter City at Prenton Park.
Callum started his interview by complimenting the team performance and explaining how the game suited his desire to get forward with the ball.
"I enjoyed it. It was a good game, I thought we played well. We got the ball down a lot, we got it out wide and I think that suited me a lot, getting 1v1 with their defenders."
Rovers were rewarded for their strong first-half showing with a goal just before the break, Callum talked about the importance of the first goal and the effect it had on the half-time team talk.
"It was massive. It was a big goal, we got it at a good time definitely. I think we were the better team but we needed a goal to get the fans behind us, it helped massively.
"We came back out strong that was the message at half-time, come back out like we started the game and I think we showed that."
Callum was quick to give praise to his teammates after the game and singled out Elliott Nevitt who's strike sealed the win for Rovers. He described his progress as 'unbelievable' and believes things are only going to get better for the 25-year-old.
"He's done unbelievable. I think what's helped him is the dressing room we've got a lot of experienced lads, so he's always trying to pick up stuff off as all. I think we've helped him a lot in that sense, he deserves everything he's getting and he's only going to get better."
