Rovers boss Micky Mellon described Saturday's win as a 'big group effort' as his side put in a fine performance to earn their second league win of the season.
An early goal from Josh Hawkes and a late goal from substitute Jake Burton were enough to earn the SWA three important points and the Gaffer was full of praise for the team and the supporters after the full-time whistle.
"I don't think it's time for me to talk about anything technical and tactical, it's about pure guts (and) determination and every credit to the players. It's been two tough shifts, coming off the back of an emotional and physical game on Wednesday, the same players have gone again and the boys that have come off the bench have helped us to keep moving forward. They deserve what they're going to get and that's a right good rest, they need a physical and mental rest because we're right through the bare bones now.
"So, only credit to the players and credit to the supporters, who really got right behind them and drove us on and kept us going forward. It was a real big group effort today from everybody concerned, fans, players, and staff and it was an important win for us, we knew we just had to get a win, we had to get a result, we had to get a clean sheet.
"We're obviously delighted and now we need a well-earned rest because they're running on fumes now, but that was just pure guts and determination and a really important win.
