Calday Grange donate hundreds of toys to our Super White Christmas Appeal

16 December 2022

For the sixth consecutive year, the parents and children from Calday Grange Grammar School have donated hundreds of toys to our Super White Christmas Appeal, which will go towards helping provide Christmas gifts for children who may not otherwise be able to receive them this year.

Tranmere Rovers loanee Luke Robinson joined us at Calday, where he attended as a youngster, to help collect the toys from the appeal.

“I’ve been quite fortunate myself but I’ve got friends and people who I’ve been around in football who are less fortunate, so I see things like this and how much it’s benefiting them and their families."

The kind donations from the parents and children at Calday Grange Grammar School as part of our Super White Christmas campaign is one aspect of Rovers' association with the school, after they also formed the Club’s first official school Supporters’ Club.

“Links with any schools are really good to have because, like I said when I was younger, I saw (projects like) this going on when I was at Calday, and people walk past and turn their head because they see the Tranmere badge, everyone knows who they are," Luke continued.  "The links are always a good thing to have, whether that’s with Calday, or any school.”

Tranmere Rovers have also delivered 75 food hampers to Co-op Academy Portland, Riverside Primary and Christ Church CE Primary over the last week to help parents who are struggling to provide for their children get through the festive period.

We have been busy delivering over 150 parcels to families in need during the festive period.
