TRIC support Paul Lavelle Foundation to raise awareness about domestic abuse

12 December 2022

Tranmere Rovers in the Community came together with other local organisations on Friday at Wirral Metropolitan College to help raise awareness about important issues such as domestic abuse and sexual harassment.

Wirral Met Students’ Union have been raising awareness through their 16 days of Domestic Abuse Awareness campaign, and the College hosted the event at their Twelve Quays campus.

Representatives from Wirral Mind, Wirral Safeguarding Children Partnership, Merseyside Police, Chester Pride, Tomorrow’s Women Wirral and Paul Lavelle Foundation joined us in setting up stalls to talk to students about the services they offer.

We spoke to students about the services we offer for young people including our workshops with KnifeSavers, as well as our Duke of Edinburgh programme.

To find out more about these services, you can email us on Community@tranmererovers.co.uk.

We also recently showed our support for the UN’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. We can all tackle violence against women and girls by standing against all forms of abuse. Find out how at gov.uk/enough.
