Experienced defender Tom Davies offered an insightful verdict on the season so far in his media duties ahead of Saturday's clash with Rochdale at Prenton Park.
The 29-year-old started his interview by reflecting on Tuesday night, he spoke about the feeling within the camp after a goal from Paul Glatzel earned Rovers a well-deserved point."Obviously we are happy with the way things are going at the moment."
"There was a bit of a feeling in the changing room after the game that it was a good point on Tuesday, but I think we're a group of lads who always strive for more and it was one of those where you take a point and move on. But, you can look back on it with a bit of regret because we felt untroubled for large parts of the game.
"It was a good battling performance from everyone and on another day we might have nicked it. As I say, we do take a point and move onto Saturday, but there's always that feeling you could've got something more.
Over the last couple of months Rovers have ignited their season, climbing to second in the league standings. Davies put the run of form down to hard work and the clear message within the camp.
"I suppose you could put it down to hard work, even when we were going through a bit of a patch we were out there every day on the training pitch working hard.
"As a collective, we're pulling in the same direction. We know we've got quality in the changing room, it's about going out and delivering.
"I think a combination of hard work and everyone getting a clear message and you're starting to see the fruits of our labour.
Davies also told local media that the squad are fully focused on their goals and are striving for more in the second half of the season, with the race for promotion expected to heat up.
"I think you make your own luck. We know that we have rode our luck at times this year but over the course of the season you know it's going to even out.
"I think we're doing well at the moment because of the hard work that we do. So, we've just got to keep doing that, I think we've got a group that's going to do that, no one is going to take their foot off the pedal.
"We're flat to the floor at the minute, because we know what we all want to achieve come May. So, we'll keep going, keep striving for more and I'm sure with the group we've got and if we keep adding to it we'll be right up there."
