After eight games unbeaten in Sky Bet League Two, Rovers next face Rochdale at Prenton Park on Saturday afternoon.
It’s another quick turnaround from Tuesday night’s draw at Salford City with the games coming thick and fast for Micky Mellon’s side.
A first Paul Glatzel goal since coming back from injury meant Rovers kept up the unbeaten run, but Rochdale will be looking to build on a 3-0 win over Newport County last time out with another win on Saturday afternoon.
The result was Rochdale’s first league victory since the end of October when they beat Barrow 2-1 at Holker Street.
Team News:
Nat Knight-Percival is still ruled out with injury whilst Elliott Nevitt will be assessed after coming of at half time on Tuesday.
Kieron Morris will be available for selection again after isolation, as will Callum McManaman.
One to Watch: Alex Newby
Born in Barrow-in-Furness, Newby has played his entire football career in the North of England after beginning his playing career with Bolton Wanderers and Barrow.
He was loaned out to Kendal Town before featuring in non-league for Clitheroe and Chorley.
After making over 80 appearances for Chorley, Newby signed for Rochdale in 2020 and has got eight goal contributions this season from Midfield.
Manager: Robbie Stockdale
A former Tranmere player, Robbie Stockdale took his first managerial job at Spotland last summer after being a coach at Sunderland and Grimsby Town.
His playing career included a number of clubs, with Tranmere stretching between 2006 and 2008 after making 80 appearances for the Whites.
This season has seen him win six games in the league and currently sits four points above the relegation zone.
