Tranmere Rovers are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Mateusz Hewelt on a contract until the end of the season.
The six foot three stopper graduated through the ranks of Everton and was part of a Premier League 2 winning title campaign.
He then spent two years in Poland with Meidz Legnica before signing for Bamber Bridge at the start of this season.
Hewelt will return to Bamber Bridge on loan for the rest of the season and will continue to train at The Campus
Manager Micky Mellon said: “We felt that, behind the two goalkeepers that we have, we wanted a third goalkeeper who we could develop and grow into the role of becoming one of our two matchday keepers.
“Lee Jones has been looking for a keeper of his age and experience so he ticked all of the boxes and we’re really pleased to get him in.
