Manager Micky Mellon and midfielder Jay Spearing have been recognised for their efforts for the month of December while representing Tranmere Rovers.
Mellon has been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month award, having guided the Whites to four wins out of four last month – a period in which the team failed to conceded a single goal.
The Tranmere boss last won this award in March 2019, having claimed five wins out of five in a spectacular month as the Club chased promotion.
Mellon is up against Jon Brady (Northampton Town), Keith Hill (Scunthorpe United) and Nigel Clough (Mansfield Town).
Spearing, meanwhile, is in contention for the Player of the Month prize.
The experienced midfielder was part of a Tranmere side that managed to secure crucial victories over Oldham Athletic, Exeter City, Leyton Orient and Barrow, helping the team continue to climb the table.
Spearing also scored a stunning winning goal in Rovers’ home victory versus Leyton Orient and assisted Nicky Maynard’s opener against Barrow courtesy of a perfectly-weighted pass.
Forest Green Rovers forward Matty Stevens, Mansfield defender John-Joe O’Toole and Rochdale striker Jake Beesley are the other nominees for this December award.
