Lee O'Connor expressed his delight at making his temporary spell with Rovers a permanent one after the club announced the signing of the Irishman on a contract until 2024.
The 21-year-old has been in fine form for Rovers in recent encounters and said that the permanent move was something that he wanted.
"It was something I've wanted to do for a while. I've loved my time since I've come, so I'm delighted to get it over the line."
A key factor in O'Connor making the move a permanent one was the continuation of regular first-team football, the 21-year-old believes this is spearheading his development.
"From the first day, I've really enjoyed it. Not only am I enjoying it personally, but with football, I think I'm developing really well I just want to continue that."
O'Connor leaves Celtic permanently after three years with the Scottish giants, he, however, described signing a contract at Prenton Park as an easy decision.
"I think in the grand scheme of things it was. I felt that this was the best thing for me, the best thing for my career. So, I think from that point it was probably an easy decision."
A standout performer this season, O'Connor cited his happiness on the Wirral as a fundamental reason for his progression as a player.
"I think I'm developing well here, but to play your best football you have to be happy and I'm happy here."
Lee also offered a quick glance ahead of the weekend's clash with league leaders Forest Green at Prenton Park, a clash that gives Rovers a chance to move in on their opponents in the battle to top the table.
"Every game is massive until the end of the season. But, playing top of the league on Saturday there is an extra incentive there."
