Match winner Elliott Nevitt spoke about the importance of the victory on Friday night for Rovers, as his brace off the bench saw the SWA return to winning ways.
Nevitt started his interview after the Mansfield game by emphasising just how important the result is for Rovers after a run of poor results.
"That was a massive game tonight, especially on a Friday night against them. We needed to win and you could say a draw would've done it but we needed to win that game, it was a massive game and we've got the three points so everyone's made up."
The Rovers faithful were in fine voice on Friday night as they helped the players towards the victory Nevitt described it as special and spoke about his desire to make an impact off the bench.
"It's special today. I was thinking I just want to get on that pitch and play and Micky gave me that chance to come on and show them that I want to be playing and I scored two. Hopefully, we can just keep going and have a good end to the season."
Nevitt's impact off the bench was paramount for the SWA as they returned to winning ways, the striker spoke about the importance of seizing the moment and taking his chances when they come.
"It's my first season as a professional so it's going to be tough being in and out of the team, but it's just the start really. If he (Micky) gives me a chance like that I've got to take it, I've got to show them that I want to be playing and I want to be involved. I think I've done that tonight."
