Calum: We know what we have to do

6 May 2022

Defender Calum MacDonald says that the squad know what they have to do, as they make the trip to East London at the weekend knowing only a victory will give them a chance of making the playoffs.

Calum started his interview by expressing his joy on returning to the fold after a period on the sidelines with suspension, he gave an insight into what that was like.

"It felt like it went on for ages because it was four games. It was obviously a hard one to take, but I had to sit and watch the boys.

"It felt nice to be back out and helping everyone and having more control over things."

Moving on, Calum gave an evaluation of his season, the positives, the negatives and his hope that it won't be nearing it's conclusion.

"I think it's been fairly consistent, I missed a lot of pre-season so it took me a little while to get up to speed but since then it's been okay. Hopefully it's not finished."

When asked about Saturday's game, Calum said that the squad know what they have to do, with the obvious hope that results elsewhere go in favour of the SWA.

"It shouldn't really change anything, we know what we have to do and we can only really control what we do so we'll try and win the game, as you do with any other game of football. Then hopefully things go our way elsewhere that helps us."
