Tranmere Rovers secure an important three points after defeating Curzon Ashton at home.
Two late goals from Rachel Davison and a first half goal from Elisha Price were the difference at the Ellesmere Port Sports Village.
The first sight of goal came Rovers’ way when Liz Roberts found herself in space on the left and drove forward but the Cursor keeper held well denying Tranmere the opener.
It didn’t take long for an opener when the Cheadle number nine tried her luck from range and the ball found itself looping over Maddock into the back of net to give the visitors the lead.
Rovers were forced into a first half substitution as Keris McRoberts came off injured and was replaced by Laura Pennington.
On the stroke of half time Elisha Price equalised for Tranmere with a calm and composed finish that saw her shot from 12 yards fly past the Ashton keeper.
Just three minutes into the second half and the visitors regained their lead.
Despite an early second half goal Rovers didn’t take their foot off the gas and continued to press the visitors but couldn’t quite find the net.
With 20 minutes remaining, Rachel Davison replaced Elisha Price and caused instant impact after beating her man down the side and crossing the ball into Doyle who just fell short.
Two minutes remaining and the afternoon looked to be ending in defeat for the home side before a free kick was awarded just 20 yards out.
Rachel Davison stepped over the ball which found itself in the back of the net bringing Rovers levels with just stoppage time to play.
Moments before the final whistle went Rachel Davison danced her way past three defenders and put the ball passed the keeper.
Two goals in the closing stages of the game from Rachel Davison secured an all important three points for Tranmere.
