Connor Jennings spoke to the press yesterday ahead of this Saturday’s trip to Notts County, and reflected on his Rovers return so far.
“Obviously it’s not the start we wanted in terms of points, but I think there’s been a lot of positives to come out of the games.
“We’ve been working hard this week to get ready for the game on Saturday and get maximum points.
“Last week’s game against Salford was disappointing. We went ahead twice, I think the timing of their goals was disappointing. There were a few individual errors but we stick together as a team and use the next game to put things right.
“I want to help out as much as I can for the team. I think the squad’s really good, a good little mixture, a few older heads."
Despite a few nerves at first, Connor says he soon felt at home again at Prenton Park.
“I can’t lie, I was a bit nervous coming back but that soon went. It felt like coming back home, all the staff are here still, and it just feels right, I’m really happy I’m back.”
