As we gear up for the 2023/24 campaign, we want to address an important issue. We recently had constructive discussions with the local Safety Advisory Group during the closed season, and they have advised us on enhanced measures to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment at our games.
One key area of focus is reducing the number of spectators standing in seated areas – this is something the Sports Ground Safety Authority (SGSA) has emphasised the importance of across all EFL clubs, and we are committed to following these guidelines. We understand that moments of excitement can lead to standing, and we encourage that passionate support. However, prolonged standing in areas meant for seated accommodation can pose safety risks.
To tackle this, we kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to the ground's license conditions. By doing so, we hope to avoid the need for stricter measures. We trust that our amazing supporters can self-police and help us create a safe environment for everyone.
Our aim is to ensure that everyone can enjoy the matches without any interruptions or penalties. You may notice stewards being more visible and reminding supporters to sit down. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in working with them to achieve greater compliance. Together, we can make our stadium an even more welcoming and enjoyable place for all.
Please remember that your safety is our utmost priority, and we seek your support in making Prenton Park a secure and comfortable venue for all fans. We are all in this together, and with your help, we can maintain the best possible matchday experience.
Thank you for your continued support.
Let's cheer on our team and enjoy the upcoming season responsibly and safely.
