Tranmere Rovers Manager Nigel Adkins and winger Rob Apter have been nominated for the Sky Bet League Two Manager and Player of the Month awards for November respectively.
Adkins guided Rovers to eight points from four league fixtures in the month, with home wins over Forest Green and Gillingham backed up with draws at Sutton United and Mansfield. His competition for Manager of the Month comes from Barrow’s Pete Wild, Mike Williamson of MK Dons and Crewe’s Lee Bell.
Apter scored four league goals in November in addition to his strike in the FA Cup at Stevenage. After scoring the third goal against Forest Green he added a brace against Gillingham and also netted at Mansfield. Also nominated for Player of the Month are Ali Al Hamadi (AFC Wimbledon), George Ray (Barrow) and Jake Young (Swindon).
The winners will be announced on Friday 8th December. The Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel comprises former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
