Nigel Adkins believes Tranmere’s monthly award recognition shows there is a lot of positives around the Club at the current stage.
The Rovers boss was nominated for League Two Manager of the Month after his side went unbeaten in their four November league matches.
Rob Apter scored four goals in those games and was up for the Player of the Month accolade.
Tranmere face Newport County at Prenton Park on Saturday 9th December (3pm kick-off), looking to keep their strong run going.

ON OUR UNBEATEN RUN:
“It’s about consistency and the players applying themselves every day. Bringing your good habits into work every morning, and trying to be the best you can be. I want this to be a learning environment. You’re allowed to make a mistake, as long as it’s an honest mistake and you learn from it.”
ON TRAINING:
“Every morning we have a meeting with our sports science and medical department. We assess where the players are and what we want to achieve in the training session. We talk about the distance we want to cover, high speed runs, the intensity. I want us to be a really fit side that can run with intensity. We’ve got to train towards that.
ON AWARD NOMINATIONS:
“I think it’s a good reflection for the team and the football club. We’ve had a challenging start, but it demonstrates that if we can keep getting our behaviours right, then that will help us to drive performance and win games.
“It demonstrates that there are a lot of good things going on. We’ve still got a lot of things we need to keep improving on, but I’m pleased to see that are things helping us improve.”
ON TEAM NEWS:
“The lads are working really well. Some players got valuable minutes in the Cheshire Senior Cup on Tuesday night. Luke Norris has had his operation and is back at the training ground with a smile on his face. His demeanour and camaraderie with the players are important as he starts his recovery. Joe Starbuck is back on the grass and is close to returning to training. Paul Lewis is back on the grass; I’d suggest it’s a couple of weeks before he joins in with the group. Kristian Dennis, who didn’t play in the last game against Mansfield, has trained all week. Dan Pike didn’t train in the early part of week. There's a good spirit about the group, who’ve trained really well this week.”
