'Our Kid' independent film now available for download

12 December 2023

A Merseyside independent film with a strong Tranmere Rovers influence, 'Our Kid', is now available to download on various streaming platforms after making its Wirral Premiere this week.

There are crowd scenes at Prenton Park filmed at last year's Open Day, so keep an eye out for yourself in the film!

There's also a special cameo from our Chairman, Mark Palios.

The film made its Wirral Premiere at The Light Cinema in New Brighton this week, with our Chairman and Vice Chair Mark and Nicola Palios, Tranmere Rovers manager Nigel Adkins, captain Tom Davies, and Connor Jennings in attendance on behalf of the Club.

'Our Kid' boasts an ensemble cast featuring household names such as Connor McIntyre, Ricky Tomlinson, Louis Emerick, Leanne Best, John McArdle, and Jake Abraham and features a break-through performance by the amazing new young actress on the block, Poppie Jae Hughes.

The screenplay, penned by Daniel P Lewis, weaves a compelling narrative inspired by his real-life cousin and follows the football-mad Reilly family as they grapple with family tragedy.

Expect a perfect blend of black comedy and heartwarming moments that will resonate with audiences young and old.

'Our Kid' is a must-see for football fans, and especially Tranmere Rovers and Liverpool FC fans, with both clubs featuring largely in the storyline. This film will tug at the heartstrings of football enthusiasts and women's football fans alike.
