Tranmere Rovers captain Tom Davies is hoping his side can continue to climb the league table with another positive result at home to Newport County this Saturday 9th December (3pm kick-off).
“They’ve obviously got more points than us but it’s up to us to catch them. They’re one of the ones that you look at and think ‘Maybe we could’, if we win on Saturday then we’re closer to them.

“It’s a case of taking care of our own job and seeing where we end up at five o’clock on Saturday.
“There’s no easy games in this league. It sounds cliche, but I think if we take too long looking at their results then it could have an effect on us so we’ve had a good week’s training as I say, so we’ll go out there on Saturday, perform well, and see where we end up on Saturday night.”
