Tranmere Rovers are delighted to announce the signing of highly rated attacking player Jay Turner-Cooke on loan from Newcastle United until the end of the season.
The 19 year-old has been in and around the Newcastle United first team squad and appeared against Al-Hilal in a 5-0 win in their recent mid season training camp.
Jay can operate as a wide player or as an attacking midfielder and netted 11 times for the Magpies’ U21 side last season.
Described by Eddie Howe as a ‘real talent’ (read in full here), Jay will now spend the remainder of the campaign with Rovers at Prenton Park to further his development.

“We know how highly rated Jay is and we know the threat that he can add in the attacking areas of the pitch so we can’t wait to start working with him and integrating him into the group.”
