A Merseyside independent film featuring a Tranmere Rovers supporter is set to make its Liverpool premiere at the Plaza Community Cinema in Waterloo on Wednesday 8th November at 7pm and is now available on various streaming platforms.
The film features scenes filmed at Prenton Park and several crowd scenes shot at the Open Day earlier this year.
We would encourage fans to support a local independent filmmaker and go along to the premiere, for which you can buy tickets for just £5 by clicking here.
Our Kid, the comedy-drama, follows the Reillys, a working-class family who learn to deal with adversity through humour.
Twelve-year-old Laura’s goal in life is to one day play football professionally. Laura has many footballing heroes, but it’s her older brother Thomas, a Tranmere Rovers superfan, who’s her biggest hero.
His inspirational quest to raise money for charity through a sponsored bike ride, while overcoming the challenges he faces from his cerebral palsy, shows Laura and the rest of the community what determination and perseverance can achieve.
Look out for Ricky Tomlinson (‘The Royle Family’), Leanne Best (‘Tin Star’), Mark Moraghan (‘Holby City’), and Louis Emerick (‘Layer Cake’), bringing their years of experience and much-loved personalities to this powerful story.
