Tranmere Rovers launch Super White Christmas ‘23 and Nate’s Tickets Appeal

13 November 2023

For the seventh consecutive year, Tranmere Rovers will deliver ‘Super White Christmas,’ which includes hosting four Christmas events throughout December as well as distributing gifts/food parcels to those in need.

Super White Christmas 2023 will include:

  • Food Hamper Deliveries - with the Tranmere Rovers Trust, we aim to deliver over 300 food hampers to local families/individuals in need
  • Children’s Christmas Party and Matchday Experience at Prenton Park – Saturday 9th December vs Newport County
  • Children’s Christmas Party at Beechwood Recreation Centre - Wednesday 20th December
  • Care Leaver’s Christmas Dinner at Prenton Park – Monday 25th December
  • Adult’s Christmas Party and Matchday Experience at Prenton Park - Saturday 23rd December vs Swindon Town

Adults experiencing loneliness, homelessness or those needing some festive cheer are invited to join us for a hot meal and a ticket for our game against Swindon Town on Saturday 23rd December.  To book onto this event, please contact Tranmere Rovers in the Community by emailing: community@tranmererovers.co.uk

Nate’s Tickets

As part of this year’s appeal, we’re also accepting financial donations for Nate’s Tickets, our community ticket scheme which offers local disadvantaged people the opportunity to enjoy a matchday experience at Prenton Park.  Since its launch seven years ago, over 23,000 people have benefitted from Nate’s Tickets (formally Community Tickets).  These are members of our community who ordinarily wouldn’t have the financial or logistical support to attend a football match.

Can you help…?

This year, instead of buying Christmas cards or gifts for people who may not need them, could you donate to help someone in need.   We’ll send you a card to show that you’ve spent the money you’d otherwise have spent elsewhere to help people experience some of the joys of Christmas that many of us can take for granted.

A donation of £50 would provide a food hamper for a family who are struggling during these challenging economic times.  Hampers include non-perishable food; hygiene items and a small Christmas treat.

A donation of £40 would provide a hot meal, small gift and matchday experience for adults who are lonely, isolated, or homeless.

A £30 donation would provide a half season ticket for a junior to enjoy the remaining home games of the 23/24 season.

We’re also welcoming donations of:

  • Toys/gifts for people of all ages up to the value of £20.

Please note, we can only distribute gifts that are brand new and in their original packaging.  Don’t worry about wrapping them – we’ll do that once we’ve sorted them into age categories.

  • Non-perishable foods, warm clothing, and toiletries that can be included in hampers.

Head of Business Development and Community Matt Houghton said:

‘Many people in our community continue to struggle financially and Christmas can be an additional pressure for lots of families.  The generosity of the SWA, our sponsors and partners over the last six years has been superb and it’s enabled us to deliver Super White Christmas for those in need.  If you’re able to donate financially or by dropping a gift or food off, you’d be providing local individuals and families with the opportunity to enjoy Christmas that little bit more.  Thank you in advance for helping us help others.

Financial Donations can be made by scanning the QR code below or by clicking here:
