Tranmere Rovers forward Harvey Saunders has spoken about how much of a boost it can be for the players to have the Prenton Park atmosphere at its best during home games.
“Looking at the results recently, we know they haven’t been good enough but the positivity around the place at the moment has been key, and we really needed that win.”
Harvey spoke about Rovers’ home form of late after consecutive victories on the Wirral.
“Prenton Park is a tough place to come to. You know that from playing against Tranmere for other clubs, it’s not a nice place to come to.
“That’s brilliant when you’re playing for Tranmere because no one wants to come here and play. We just need to improve the away form as well now.
“It’s a great feeling to have when the fans are behind you.
Saunders also spoke about how much he is enjoying working under Nigel Adkins so far.“It’s really enjoyable and really positive. Every day you come in, forget about everything and start again just be positive around the place.”
