Nigel Adkins has called on his Tranmere players to “learn the lessons and go again” after defeat at Stockport County.
Rovers lost 2-0 to the Hatters, who are top of League Two, following goals from Isaac Olaofe and Antoni Sarcevic.
“It was always going to be a challenging game,” said Adkins. “We gave ourselves up an uphill challenge.
“We did something in training yesterday to be compact. One player unfortunately has, through his enthusiasm, gone chasing out and left space in the middle of the pitch [for the first goal].
“Second half, Harvey Saunders gets sent off. Changes the complexion again. But we created chances, their goalkeeper has pulled off two great saves from Rob Apter.
“We’ve got to keep going. Don’t throw the towel in. We’ve got to pick ourselves up, learn the lessons, and go again.”
